Cherry Blossoms are a symbol of hope, new life and new beginnings. The Cherry Blossom Festival is celebrated around the world but most notably in Japan.   In 1909, the Mayor of Tokyo gifted Washington D.C a cherry  blossom tree to enhance the growing friendship between the U.S and Japan. Today, cherry blossom festivals have become a beloved tradition throughout the US.
