About this product 

This cute, colorful necklace comes in 10 different colors which will vary per order. Sold as 1 necklace per order. 

It is on an alloy golden colored chain with large links - which adds to the whimsy of it.  
The chain is 15" long with an added 1 3/4" links to make it adjustable.  
The small pendant is 1/2" in diameter.  

The smiley as we know it today was invented by graphic designer Mr. Harvey Ball in 1963 at the behest of the State Mutual Life Assurance Company, a firm that was looking to boost the morale of its staff. It was not copyrighted by either the inventor or the Assurance Company.  Only many years later - after it's huge success - was it patented by a totally different company.
