Athena with Aegis Statue

Athena was the Greek goddess of wisdom and warfare. As such it is no surprise that the Athena with Aegis Statue depicts her appearing ready for battle. She wears a crested helmet as well as other pieces of armour. On her shoulder sits an owl with its wings aloft. The owl was Athenas sacred animal. Next, Athenas feet rest in a cloud formation. This cloud formation is the base of the statue. At the bottom, the base has a plaque that reads ATHENA.
