VENUS DE MILO RECONSTRUCT
The Venus de Milo is an ancient Greek marble sculpture commonly thought to represent Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, and is identified with Venus by the Romans. It was discovered in pieces on the island of Melos in 1820 and is believed to have been created during the Hellenistic period, specifically between 150 and 125 BC by the sculptor Alexandros of Antioch. Despite the orginal version being armless, it remains one of the most famous art pieces in history and is currently housed in the Louvre Museum in Paris.
