Traditional 6-Stripe - The traditional six-stripe rainbow pride flag design popularized by artist Gilbert Baker in 1978. The rainbow flag has since stood the test of time and become the ubiquitous symbol of LGBTQ Pride the world over. Originally, Gilbert Baker designed the Rainbow flag with 8 Stripes, but due to the cost and availability of hot pink and teal fabric, the design was altered to 6 stripes over time.
