About the Creator: 

Artist Matt Hughes is a self-taught artist whose work focuses on the aesthetic approaches often referred to as "The Golden Age of Illustration." His distinctive style is a fusion of inspiration drawn from the Art Nouveau, Pre-Raphaelite, and Symbolist movements, allowing him to produce an artistic expression that is uniquely his own. He is the creator of numerous oracle and tarot decks published by U.S. Games Systems, Inc. including Ethereal Visions: Illuminated Tarot, Dreamscape Oracle, Lady Stirling’s Wicked Garden Oracle, Gjallarhorn: A Norse Oracle Deck, as well as the publisher of horror fiction through Ethereal Visions Publishing. Mother Mort’s Carnival 1897 was conceived by his wife and muse, Hope Hughes, and the storybook was written by Marie McWilliams and edited by William Parker Stoker.
