Judgement of the Nephilim

Nephilim are mysterious beings from biblical and ancient mythology, often described as giants or “fallen ones,” believed to be the offspring of divine beings and humans.

Origins and Biblical References
The Nephilim first appear in the Hebrew Bible in Genesis 6:1–4, described as the offspring of the “sons of God” and the “daughters of humans,” and are referred to as “heroes of old, men of renown” (Genesis 6:4). They are also mentioned in Numbers 13:33, where spies report seeing Nephilim in Canaan, emphasizing their great size and strength. The Hebrew term Nephilim is often translated as “giants” or interpreted as “fallen ones,” derived from the root n-p-l, meaning “to fall”. Other biblical references include Ezekiel 32:27 and deuterocanonical books like Judith, Sirach, Baruch, and Wisdom.
